GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper, or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.

STEP 1. Draw an oval for the head. Add a rectangle underneath for the torso.

STEP 5. Outline the hair and the cape. Draw eyes, mouth and ears. Divide the body with a diagonal line. Detail the bow and arrow.

STEP 6. Detail the eyes and mouth. Add a hairline, eyebrows and the bottom of the mouth. Mark the edge of the hair. Add the sleeves. Draw the arrow pouch. Make the bottom of the cape wavy.

STEP 7. Draw a parting and headband on the head. Finish the sleeves and boots. Detail the bow and arrow bag. Add arrow lines in the bag.

STEP 8. Mark the hair. Add folds on the body and ear. Draw fingers. Detail the arrows.
